Kent Institute Australia’s campuses in both Melbourne and Sydney are building its industry links for its students to become further empowered and achieve their career goals. Industry experts visited Kent’s campuses and shared valuable insights to the students of accounting and information technology.
The ICT industry’s growth is expected to increase rapidly. Both the opportunities and challenges which arise due to this growth are expected to be handled by emerging professionals. One of the guest speakers, Anthony Ellard (JP MACS (Snr) CP), the National Business Engagement Manager at the Australian Computer Society, shared his thoughts on these challenges and delivered steps on how the students at Kent’s Sydney campus can ensure their skills are future-proof. Thomas Quinlan (MBA, CPA), the Founding Director of the Quinlan Consulting Team, visited the students at the Melbourne campus to impart his knowledge and experience of the industry.
Kent Institute Australia released its Bachelor of Information Technology to meet the rising demand for IT professionals with industry relevant skills and business acumen last year. Kent’s Course Development Working Party (CDWP) - established under the auspices of the Kent Academic Board – also recommended an enhancement of the Bachelor of Business Information Systems specialisation to align with Australian Computer Society (ACS) requirements. From Trimester Two 2019, Kent has expanded number of Information Systems specialisation units in its Bachelor of Business degree from seven to nine.

Kent Institute Australia’s bachelor’s degrees are fully-accredited by the independent national regulator in Australia for higher Education – The Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA). This ensures that Kent maintains compliance with the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 - Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2015.
Its courses are recognised by the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), with its bachelor’s degrees at AQF Level 7. Kent Institute Australia’s Vocational (VET) courses have received accreditation from the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA). The institute ensures that the quality of its training and assessment are in accordance with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015.
Kent’s Bachelor of Accounting course is fully accredited and recognised by Australia’s peak accounting bodies CPA Australia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

They must obtain an overall score of 6.0 in IELTS (Academic) with no band lesser than 5.5 or its equivalent.
