Plans are underway to build a new Student Wellbeing Centre at Toronto Metropolitan University after TMU students voted yes in a 2022 referendum on a health and wellbeing fee to improve the quality, timeliness and level of wellbeing services students receive.

TMU is committed to creating opportunities for students from many backgrounds and provides an extensive range of scholarships and financial aid programs to support its learning community.
International students may qualify for entrance scholarships and distinguished awards, such as the President’s Entrance Scholarship (up to CAD 40,000) or the International Student Merit Scholarships (CAD 5,000).
The President’s Entrance Scholarship is awarded to secondary school graduates who demonstrate academic accomplishment, leadership qualities, original thought and creative ability. A minimum 90 per cent final admission average is required for consideration.
The International Student Merit Scholarships are awarded to international students who are entering their first year of a full-time, four-year undergraduate degree program at TMU in the Fall or Winter term and demonstrate academic excellence, commitment to volunteer work and extracurricular activities, and leadership skills. A minimum 85%/A or equivalent final admission average is required for consideration.
Toronto Metropolitan University accepts international undergraduate applications for September and January admission. Admission requirements depend on various factors including program-specific requirements. All secondary and post-secondary studies are considered by the university’s admissions team when it comes to making a formal offer of acceptance. Certain programs may also have non-academic requirements (e.g., portfolio of work, interview, audition).
Applications are submitted online, and prospective applicants are encouraged to familiarise themselves with key dates and deadlines.

TMU’s premier athletic facility is the Mattamy Athletic Centre (MAC). The MAC features a full-sized ice rink, a court for basketball and volleyball, studios, and a high-performance gym. TMU's three student residences supply over 1,100 beds on campus in the Daphne Cockwell Complex, the International Living & Learning Centre, and Pitman Hall.
The TMU Libraries offer a vast collection of books as well as more than 500,000 electronic resources including e-books, serial titles, and databases. Students can access various software and hardware including video and photo editing software, cameras, 3D printers, soldering tools, sewing machines, and more. Students can also use a variety of study spaces and get research support from Library staff.
