What will I learn?

Business law focuses on the legal and regulatory framework within which business operates. You will acquire essential problem-solving and analytical skills, and learn how to recognise situations that require specialist legal advice.Our business law major is anchored in real-world issues with a strong emphasis on the legal hurdles you are likely to encounter in business. It provides a solid foundation for understanding the impact of the law on general business practice.You will receive an introduction to business law as well as in-depth specialisation in some key areas: corporation law, securities and deviations law, finance and banking, taxation, insolvency, employment, corporate crime, trade practices and consumer law.The curriculum is constantly updated to take into account new cases and changing legislation, regulation and business practices.The Bachelor of Advanced Computing/Bachelor of Commerce is a combined undergraduate coursework degree that will develop your knowledge and skills in computing while cultivating business expertise. Underpinned by critical analytical and leadership skills, this course is accredited by the Australian Computer Society.You will complete core units that cover the skills needed to work as a computing professional, along with a major from the Advanced Computing disciplinary pool and advanced computing elective units.Additionally, you will complete Commerce degree core units and a major from the Commerce disciplinary pool. You will also complete units from the Open Learning Environment and elective units as needed to meet the requirements of the course.
