What will I learn?

The Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise Physiology) provides students with the knowledge, competencies and clinical experience required to deliver exercise and behaviour change strategies for the prevention and management of chronic diseases. The course is designed for those who want to gain a comprehensive understanding of exercise physiology, including areas of musculoskeletal anatomy, neuroscience, and rehabilitation. You will apply your knowledge through clinical experiences, working across different clients in numerous settings.The Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise Physiology) is an undergraduate coursework degree that provides you with the knowledge, competencies and clinical experience required to deliver exercise and behaviour change strategies for the prevention and management of chronic disease. During this four-year course you will complete core units in areas including musculoskeletal anatomy, biomechanics, exercise physiology, nutrition, exercise assessment and exercise programming for clinical and non-clinical populations, and elective units chosen from within the disciplinary pool, the shared pool or the Open Learning Environment. You will also complete a minimum of 550 hours of clinical and non-clinical placements across the final two years in addition to a community project placement in the final year. Honours is available to invited students as an embedded pathway in the final three semesters of the course.
