Our new delivery mode combines traditional classroom learning with 24-hour access to program materials online. This gives you greater flexibility and more time to discuss ideas and collaborate in class. Depending on your major, there are opportunities for practical experience and international placements. We’ve also got state-of-the-art facilities like our own recording studio, multimedia labs and digital suites. Effective communication and critical thinking skills are valued in all industries. That’s why there are so many career pathways in this program. Communication and media, education, psychology, social policy, writing and publishing are just some of the career opportunities our graduates pursue. Philosophy has always asked the 'big questions' about our lives. These are questions, for example, about the limits of our knowledge, the best way that humans can live together, how we understand the world around us, and what is the good life. A philosophy major will enable students to develop particular skills and attributes - such as clear thinking, capacities to assess arguments and values, sound understanding of important philosophical views that have always been essential to university scholarship, and which continue to be valuable for graduates in both public and private life.
