What will I learn?

You’ll complete core subjects addressing the juxtaposition of sound and the moving image, ethical creative practice, and entrepreneurship. In your animation stream you’ll develop the practical competencies required to animate character driven narratives in 2D and 3D design, explore animation performance, and create short films across multiple modes of production. In your final year you'll work with industry partners to design and pitch your own animated series, whilst completing an original capstone short film. In this course you will also have the option to enhance your knowledge and experience by choosing from our range of future-focused Creative Production and Communication electives.

This practical course goes far beyond theory, giving you sought after capabilities in 2D and 3D animation, narrative, worldbuilding, character design, screen direction, lighting and editing for storytelling, as well as attributes like creative thinking and collaboration. You’ll become a well-rounded professional who draws inspiration from the world around you to create compelling, character driven, high quality animations.
