What will I learn?

The Bachelor of Health, Physical Education, and Sport brings together our previous Bachelor of Health and Physical Education and Bachelor of Sport into one flexible, future-focused degree. With a strong focus on young people, you’ll build contemporary health knowledge and the confidence to lead informed conversations around important and emerging health issues – supporting positive decision-making among young people. You’ll also develop movement expertise and practical teaching capabilities, equipping you to design and deliver engaging physical education experiences at school that foster lifelong participation in physical activity. Across the degree, there is a strong emphasis on rethinking sport and physical activity to be more inclusive, creative, and accessible, enabling you to make a meaningful impact across schools, clubs, and communities. You can prepare for a career in Health and Physical Education teaching while also gaining broader knowledge across the sport sector, opening pathways beyond the classroom. With the option to tailor your studies through majors and minors in areas such as sport management, psychology, youth wellbeing, and secondary education, you can align your degree to your interests and career goals. Whether you choose teaching, sport industry roles, or further study, you’ll graduate with the flexibility to work across education, sport, and community settings.
