Study Deakin's Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Laws to graduate with an increasingly sought-after skill set to succeed in either field, or where science and law intersect.This double degree gives you the freedom to learn more about what interests you. Get a taste for different disciplines within science before choosing to focus on an area you are passionate about. The law stream of this combined course is accredited by the Victorian Legal Admissions Board and is supported by extensive practical training. You will even have the opportunity to work on real cases at the Deakin Law Clinic – invaluable preparation if you choose to undertake the additional work required to become a fully qualified lawyer.

Current Year 12 students (2024)*

Year 12 graduates (2023 and 2022)*

* Includes Victorian, interstate, International Baccalaureate (IB) and New Zealand school leavers.

To be considered for an undergraduate course, you need to meet Deakins entry and course-specific requirements, as well as the English language minimum prerequisites.

Non-Year 12 applicants with:

higher education study

Vocational Education and Training (VET) study

work and life experience Or

completed Year 12 in 2021 or earlier.

Completion of one of the following:

2 credit points in an AQF Level 7 bachelor degree

certificate IV or higher in a related discipline

a diploma or higher in any discipline

at least 50% completion of a diploma or higher in a related discipline relevant work and life experience.
