Salford College delivers a hands-on, high-quality, practical course of CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry that provides participants with all the skills required to become qualified tradesperson in Australia and overseas. Students will learn and practice the skills necessary to work as a carpenter in the real world. Students will also learn about the safety and business dimensions of working in this exciting industry.
In this course, students will work with trade tools and learn the skills to build, install, finish and repair structures and fixtures for domestic and commercial developments. Students will learn to interpret plans, calculate pitches and slopes and understand the safety requirements of building sites.
Completion of the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (ASCC 2007) is required before entering a construction work site. Achievement of CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry meets this requirement.
Pathways
Students may enter CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry with limited or no vocational experience and without a lower-level qualification.
Students who complete this course may wish to continue their education into a range of building and construction qualifications like Certificate IV in Building and Construction or higher.
