What will I learn?

Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) is for people who are interested in working in Aged Care, supporting people who are ageing in community or residential settings. As an Individual Support Worker, you will be able to make a real difference in people’s everyday lives, supporting them to maintain their independence and standard of living. You will learn current practices relating to workplace health and safety, infection control, and person-centred support. Learners will be provided with the knowledge, skills to carry out activities related to maintaining and maximising the independence and wellbeing of people who are ageing. You will learn specialist skills in supporting people experiencing dementia, and people at end-of-life stage. This qualification would suit people interested in supporting and enhancing independence and the quality of life of people who are ageing.
