Be an integral part of the growing aged care industry by providing support for the elderly with a Certificate IV in Ageing Support qualification. CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support will equip you with a wide range of specialised skills to effectively support older people in a wide range of personal care, community and social based activities and functions in aged care services either in residential, home or community-based environments. If you already work in aged care and are looking to upskill into a leadership position, a Certificate IV in Ageing Support will allow you to provide person-centred care in aged services. This course will allow you to undertake specialised tasks such as quality service delivery, individualised service planning and supervision of other team members.Bedford supports students to source a course related work placement. Thanks to our 80-year legacy providing nationally recognised training, Bedford works closely with reputable industry partners. Students studying our ageing support course are provided the opportunity to apply for a work placement with one of our partners. Many students go on to secure employment offers upon graduation. Students undertaking the Certificate IV in Ageing Support have a minimum of 120 hours of work placement over the duration of the course.

Entry requirements

For international students

  • Successful completion of a qualification equivalent to Australian Year 12
  • Provide a Statement of Purpose (SoP) for studying at Bedford College when applicable
  • A minimum age of 18 years is required
