The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care prepares students for educator roles in regulated early childhood education and care services in Australia. The course develops specialised knowledge and practical skills to design and implement curriculum aligned with approved learning frameworks and maintain compliance with service operations. Students learn to apply theoretical concepts in diverse work settings and may take on responsibilities such as supervising volunteers or other educators. Graduates may work in long day care centres, family day care services, preschools, and kindergartens.

Applicants must hold a current CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Alternatively, applicants may hold an Australian Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or an Australian Diploma or Certificate III in Childrens Services and demonstrate at least 12 months of cumulative full-time equivalent employment within the past five years in a regulated education and care service in Australia, supported by verifiable evidence. Applicants may also hold the CHCSS00147 Entry into Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care qualification.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
