Entry requirements
For international students
Age requirements- Part 1: 16 years, Part 2: 16 years 6 months. If you do not meet the age requirements, you may be offered a deferred place. International Baccalaureate IB Diploma: 25. Arts: Mathematics Australian Year 11 (or equivalent). For entry into Part 1 or Part 2, (for the Sociology Education^ or Psychology Education^ streams), you must have: VCE Units 1 & 2: Satisfactory completion of two units (any combination) of General Mathematics, Mathematical Methods, or Specialist Mathematics, or equivalent.
Or VCE Units 3 & 4: Completion of any Mathematics subject, or an equivalent. Or Applicable to Part 1 only: You must enrol in MCD1550 Introductory Mathematics for Business during your Diploma Part 1 studies. If you wish to study Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics and associated double degrees you must achieve VCE: Units 3 & 4: a study score of at least 22 in one of Maths: Mathematical Methods or Maths: Specialist Mathematics or at least 25 in Maths: General Mathematics, or equivalent. Prerequisite subjects completed in other qualifications may be accepted and are assessed on a case by case basis when you apply.
