Early childhood education offers a deeply rewarding career and a unique opportunity to provide children with the best possible start in life.The Graduate Diploma in Education (Early Childhood) is a 10-month program designed to prepare graduates for roles in early childhood education and care services, including long day care centres and preschools.The course covers essential areas of early childhood education, focusing on the theory, principles, and practices that support young children's learning and development. Admission is open to individuals who hold an undergraduate degree in any discipline, including those with a teaching qualification.As part of the program, students will complete 60 days (480 hours) of professional experience through placements in early childhood education settings. Before undertaking these placements, students must meet national and state regulatory requirements as outlined on the Faculty of Education Professional Experience Requirements website. Completion of all placement days and the demonstration of professional conduct and behaviour are mandatory.

Entry requirements

For international students

To be eligible for entry into this course, applicants meet the following course specific admission requirements-completed a bachelor degree (AQF 7) or equivalent; ora completed Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (AQF5 or above), and a minimum of five years relevant work experience (undertaken within the last seven years) in an Australian early childhood education setting with related leadership responsibilities.IELTS- Overall with 6.5 no band less than 6.5
