What will I learn?

The diploma begins with an introduction to the Australian legal system, providing history and context to support your studies. The rest of your diploma will consist of core law units required for admission to practice in Victoria and law elective units aligned with your specific career goals. Upon completion, you will hold the necessary skills and prerequisites needed to become a lawyer or other legal professional in Australia.Located in the heart of Melbourne’s legal district with both full and part-time study options, this flexible course allows you to complete your studies on your own time according to your personal and professional commitments. The number of credit points and selection of core units will depend on the jurisdiction in which you earned your existing law qualification. All Graduate Diploma in Australian Law applications must include a letter from the Victorian Legal Admissions Board (VLAB) stipulating which areas of law are required to meet the academic eligibility requirements for admission to practise in Victoria. The letter from VLAB must be dated within 24 months of submitting your application for study.
