What will I learn?

This new Master of Advanced Health Care Practice provides health professionals with the opportunity to take the next step in expanding their careers. This innovative new program will give medical practitioners, midwives, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, radiographers and radiation therapists, and policy makers the opportunity to gain a Masters level qualification that enhances their professional practice and provides the widest range of options for the future. This program is delivered online (except for Midwifery and paramedicine, which is on campus), offering the quality and recognition of a Monash postgraduate degree with the flexibility provided by the latest online delivery technologies. The Master of Advanced Health Care Practice is interprofessional by nature. You complete a common unit, 'Essentials of advanced health care practice and research', which reflects the collaboration required in practice to deliver health care of the highest quality.Your qualification will be a Master of Advanced Paramedic Practice. This specialisation is designed for paramedics, emergency medical technicians and clinicians working in the out-of-hospital sector who are keen to advance their clinical practice and leadership roles within paramedicine and the emergency medical services sector. The specialisation will provide opportunities to either complete a research project or study a variety of topics including advanced and systematic patient assessment, ECG trace interpretation, airway management, ultrasound, advanced medical, cardiac and trauma interventions, clinical leadership and education.

Entry requirements

For international students

An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a cognate discipline with a credit (60%) average.Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or equivalent accredited professional registration body.A minimum of two years equivalent full-time experience in a cognate discipline and evidence of current engagement in Clinical Practice in the area of specialisation
