What will I learn?

Human-Computer Interaction is a multidisciplinary field that aims to understand and shape the ways in which humans operate in technological environments. A key focus is on the design of new technologies in ways that take into account the contexts of their use, and maximise the quality and effectiveness of computing systems in meeting people’s needs.The Human-Computer Interactions specialisation will support students to explore areas such as human foundations from psychology and physiology, Human-Computer Interaction methods for design and evaluation of interfaces, and leading-edge directions for technologies.Gain expertise, skills and experience in a growing field which underpins our society. By combining technical knowledge, real-world experience and problem-solving skills, you'll graduate ready to operate as a computer scientist and develop innovative solutions that address technological challenges.Providing foundational knowledge through to specialised skills and experience, the Master of Computer Science suits those looking to operate as a computer scientist or enter the IT industry.The Master of Computer Science is a postgraduate coursework degree. You will complete core, foundation and specialist units, and have the opportunity to undertake a specialisation. You will also complete a professional capstone or research project.Depending on your role, you may be responsible for designing, implementing and evaluating computer science solutions in all types of industries. This could include creating and managing business applications, web sites, systems and the IT environment.
