Develop specialised technical knowledge in structural engineering, gaining an understanding of how structures and buildings resist and transfer natural and other forces to the ground.This course is ideal for qualified engineers seeking to move into a management role or to specialise or update their skills.The Master of Engineering (Stuctural Engineering) is a postgraduate coursework degree that will help you develop specialised technical knowledge in structural engineering, and learn about the transfer of natural and other forces in buildings.You will complete core professional engineering units and specialist units in structural engineering, in addition to a capstone comprising either a research project or a dissertation.You will also complete elective units as needed to make up the requirements of the course.

Entry requirements

For international students

To be eligible for admission, an applicant is required to have:

an Australian Bachelor of Engineering degree in the relevant discipline with a credit average (65 percent) or equivalent qualification, or

an Australian Bachelor of Engineering degree in the relevant discipline or equivalent, and five years relevant professional work experience, or

the relevant University of Sydney Graduate Diploma in Engineering or Graduate Certificate in Engineering with a credit average (65 percent).
