What will I learn?

This course offers students with a background in science the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills in a forensic context. Students will explore how chemical and biological practices are used for forensic investigations. The Master of Forensic Science offers students with a background in science the opportunity to obtain new skills in forensic science and apply their knowledge and skills in a forensic context. Students will explore how chemical and biological techniques are used for forensic investigations.Students choose one of two areas of focus, depending on their entry qualifications:Forensic and Analytical Chemistry Minor requires a bachelor's degree in science containing a study of chemistry to at least second year levelForensic Biology Minor requires a bachelor's degree in science containing a study of biology to at least second year level.Graduates of this course will have completed a Masters thesis and coursework designed to address topical concerns in industry and society, preparing them for further enrolment in a research higher degree or employment in forensic-science related fields.
