What will I learn?

Graduates with a specialisation in Business Information Systems will learn to identify, interpret and analyse stakeholder needs, and apply problem solving, design and decision making methodologies to develop information systems components, systems and/or processes to meet those needs. Graduates with a specialisation in Business Information Systems will have a coherent body of knowledge of the fundamental principles of business information systems, and an understanding of conceptual frameworks as a basis for future discovery in education and practice.Learning OutcomesIdentify, interpret and analyse stakeholder needs, establish priorities and the goals, constraints and uncertainties of the system (social, cultural, legislative, environmental, business etc), using systems thinking, while recognising ethical implications of professional practice.Apply problem solving, design and decision making methodologies to develop components, systems and/or processes to meet specified requirements, including innovative approaches to synthesise alternative solutions, concepts and procedures, while demonstrating information skills and research methods.

Applicants must present one of the followinga Bachelor degree or international equivalent with minimum GPA of 5.0-7.0.a Bachelor degree or international equivalent with minimum GPA of 4070 and at least 3 years of fulltime equivalent years of professional experience at ANZSCO Skill Level 1 in a field related to the program.a Bachelor Honours degree or international equivalent with minimum GPA of .40-7.0.a Bachelor degree or international equivalent with minimum GPA of 4.0-7.0 and a Graduate Certificate with minimum GPA of 4.0-7.0.a Graduate Certificate or international equivalent with minimum GPA of 4.0-7.0 and at least 3 years of fulltime equivalent years of professional experience at ANZSCO Skill Level 1 in a field related to the program.an ANU Graduate Certificate of Management with minimum GPA of 5.0-7.0.a Graduate Diploma or international equivalent with minimum GPA of 4.0-7.0.GMAT Graduate Management Admission Test completed no more than 5 years before the time of application with a minimum score of 550 and a minimum of 3 years of fulltime equivalent years of professional experience at ANZSCO Skill Level 1 in a field related to the program.GRE General test completed no more than 5 years before the time of application with a minimum score of 155 for Verbal Reasoning 155 for Quantitative Reasoning and 4.0 in Analytical Writing and a minimum of 3 years of fulltime equivalent years of professional experience at ANZSCO Skill Level 1 in a field related to the program.
