What will I learn?

The Master of Occupational Therapy equips you with the knowledge and skills to provide high-quality healthcare and change lives. Through practical learning and extensive clinical placements, you will learn to work with clients to help them participate fully in life by focusing on their strengths.This course is designed for students who wish to become professional occupational therapists and would like to work as health professionals in a variety of settings.The Master of Occupational Therapy is a postgraduate coursework degree with the vision of producing global citizens who take a collaborative, critical and strength-based approach to promoting health, well-being and engagement for people as occupational beings. This will include mastering skills to enable people with disabilities, recovering from injury or with ongoing conditions, to overcome barriers and identifying alternative techniques to do what they want to do.This course is recognised by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and graduates will be eligible to apply for membership of Occupational Therapy Australia and the World Federation of Occupational Therapists. This condensed program includes core units in biomedical sciences and occupational therapy theory and practice, as well as elective units. You will also complete 1,000 hours of clinical and professional fieldwork.
