What will I learn?

The School of Engineering is dedicated to research and training in the disciplines of Chemical, Civil, Environmental, Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering, and Surveying. From 2019, we will also be offering new undergraduate degree programs in Aerospace Systems and Renewable Energy Engineering.Our programs are underpinned by some of the most exciting research in Australia. In the Australian Research Council research excellence ratings we are the only university to achieve the highest possible rating of '5' in Civil Engineering across all four ERA assessments (2010, 2012, 2015 and 2018), and one of only two to achieve a 5 in Resources Engineering and Extractive Metallurgy across three consecutive ERA assessments.

Entry requirements

For international students

i) have satisfied all of the requirements for admission to the degree of Bachelor with Honours Class 1 or Honours Class II, Division 1 or any other degree approved for this purpose by the Head of School; orii) have satisfied all the requirements for admission to a degree of Bachelor in the University or another degree approved for this purpose by the Head of School; oriii) in exceptional cases produce evidence of possessing such other academic or professional qualifications and/or experience as may be approved by the Head of School; oriv) in the disciplines of education, medical physics, nursing, social work, social sciences and surgery have completed a minimum standard of professional experience as required by the Head of School; and
