What will I learn?

The School of Electrical Engineering and Computing offers undergraduate and postgraduate study in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology. In conjunction with the School of Engineering, we also offer undergraduate study in Mechatronics, and from 2018 we have introduced a new a Bachelor of Medical Engineering (Honours) degree program Specifically targeted to address a shortage of cyber security workers and industry needs, in 2019 we will be offering a Graduate Certificate in Cyber Security and a Master of Cyber Security. Cyberspace has profoundly transformed the way we live and do business. We are increasingly relying upon networked applications for assessing information and making critical business decisions, so it is critical for individuals, enterprises and governments to be able to secure cyberspace from attacks to allow them to effectively conduct their business..

Entry requirements

For international students

i) have satisfied all of the requirements for admission to the degree of Bachelor with Honours Class 1 or Honours Class II, Division 1 or any other degree approved for this purpose by the Head of School; orii) have satisfied all the requirements for admission to a degree of Bachelor in the University or another degree approved for this purpose by the Head of School; oriii) in exceptional cases produce evidence of possessing such other academic or professional qualifications and/or experience as may be approved by the Head of School; oriv) in the disciplines of education, medical physics, nursing, social work, social sciences and surgery have completed a minimum standard of professional experience as required by the Head of School; and
