What will I learn?

Develop specialised technical knowledge in software engineering to help you transition to an engineering career.You’ll gain a detailed understanding of all aspects of software production from strategy and design to coding, quality and management.This course is for people seeking to make the transition from a science or mathematics-based career to become an engineer, or who already have an engineering degree and would like to change paths to a different specialisation.This course has a professional practice component that is usually undertaken over 12 weeks. This provides you with an opportunity to gain industry exposure within an engineering environment.

Entry requirements

For international students

To be eligible for admission, an applicant is required to have:

an Australian Bachelor of Engineering degree with a 65 percent average, or equivalent qualification or

an Australian bachelor's degree in a non-Engineering discipline with a 65 percent average, with studies equivalent to 48 credit points (equivalent to 1 year full time study load) in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, geology, computing or statistics, as related to the stream sought for admission.
