What will I learn?

The aim of the Master of Professional Information Technology is to provide students with the theoretical knowledge along with technical and communication skills required to succeed as an Information Technology professional. Students will also acquire valuable research and problem-solving skills. Students will study a specialisation in the area of networking, data science, artificial intelligence, software development or cyber security. Students will also complete a suite of work integrated learning subjects culminating in a work placement in industry.

Entry requirements

For international students

To be eligible for admission to this course applicants must meet the minimum entry criteria listed below:

  • A completed Bachelor degree or higher from a recognised Australian tertiary institution (or equivalent). 

Applicants without an equivalent tertiary qualification will be admitted via Graduate Diploma in Professional Information Technology pathway. For admission to the Graduate Diploma, applicants are required to have a minimum of a 3 years tertiary qualification equivalent to an Associate Degree. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Diploma, students will then be eligible for admission to the Master of Professional Information Technology and receive credit for applicable subjects.
