Our Master of Science in Medicine (Metabolic Health) is a highly practical degree that has been designed to help students to develop a comprehensive understanding of the aetiology, diagnosis and multidisciplinary treatment of metabolic diseases.Who is it for?Our course is only available to students currently enrolled in the Master of Science in Medicine (Metabolic Health) who meet the requirements for admission (see information about admission criteria below).Career pathsThis course provides advanced postgraduate training for healthcare professionals wishing to understand and manage diabetes, obesity and associated cardiovascular complications in the general population as well as high risk subgroups.Outstanding graduates who complete the research capstone may be eligible to pursue a higher degree by research in the courses of Doctor of Philosophy or Master of Philosophy in the Faculty of Medicine and Health.A higher degree by research provides you with the opportunity to prepare a substantial piece of work which represents a significant contribution in a particular field of study and to gain transferable skills in general research methodologies.

completion of the requirements for the Master of Science in Medicine (Critical Care).

an average mark of at least 75% in 24 credit points of compulsory and/or stream units of study.
