What will I learn?

This international double master's program enables you to complete the requirements of the Monash Master of Strategic Communications Management as well as a second degree with Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), with one year in Australia and one in China. Drawing on best practices locally and globally, this double master’s will lead you become an expert in audience research and analytics, advocacy and persuasion, public relations and crisis communications. You’ll be equipped with the skills and knowledge to build effective and ethical stakeholder engagement strategies, as well as the expertise to communicate with diverse audiences in an increasingly global environment. You’ll examine the impact of persuasive story-telling and influencer strategies, and will consider the effectiveness of integrated media campaigns using both traditional and digital approaches. Through core units, you’ll build a deep understanding of big data and how it is used, such as evaluating audience sentiment. Taught by a combination of leading academics and practitioners in the field, this program has a strong applied focus, aligning closely with innovation taking place in the industry. Designed to put your learned technical skills into practice, this double master’s program will help you generate a compelling professional portfolio. For international students

An Australian bachelor degree with a cognate discipline* with at least credit (60%) average.

OR

An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) and an Australian graduate certificate (or equivalent) in a cognate* discipline with at least a 50% average in both qualifications.
