Our Master of Surgery will allow you to pursue your interests and develop knowledge and skills in surgical specialty areas as well as non-technical areas such as professionalism, leadership and research. This course is designed for medical graduates, surgical trainees and surgeons who want to prepare for the RACS GSSE, enhance their CV for future career opportunities and acquire knowledge and skills that are valuable for an academic or teaching hospital career.Our Master of Surgery is a postgraduate coursework degree that will enable you to pursue your interests and develop knowledge and skills in surgical specialty areas as well as non-technical areas.You will complete core and selective surgery units, and you can tailor your degree to focus on:surgical science units in pathology, anatomy and physiology designed to prepare you for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) General Surgical Science Examination (GSSE)research units including the opportunity to complete a dissertation on a research project of your choosing with the aim of future published workspecialty units covering a range of technical and non-technical surgical skills and specialty areasa choice of elective subjects which can be selected to complement surgery or research subjectsAll students will complete a core capstone unit to develop their individual leadership and professionalism skills within the context of Surgery in Australia.
