Our nationally recognised aged care courses allow you to support elderly individuals in need of compassion and care. Combine your passion for helping our ageing population with the practical skills necessary to be an aged care worker with our 6-9 month aged care courses. Thanks to our 80-year legacy providing nationally recognised training, Bedford works closely with reputable industry partners. Students studying our individual support courses are provided the opportunity to apply for a work placement with one of our partners. Many students go on to secure employment offers upon graduation. Students undertaking the Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability) have a minimum of 120 hours of work placement over the duration of the course. Students undertaking the Certificate IV in Ageing Support have a minimum of 120 hours of work placement over the duration of the course.

Entry requirements

For international students

  • Successful completion of a qualification equivalent to Australian Year 12
  • Provide a Statement of Purpose (SoP) for studying at Bedford College when applicable
  • A minimum age of 18 years is required
