What will I learn?

This program studies the fine and performing arts, with a focus on visual culture. You’ll start with a history of the arts and move on through critical theory, thematic topics or curating. This degree will prepare you for a variety of jobs in the arts, film, or a graduate degree. Art, Performance and Cinema Studies in the Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology is one of the performing and fine arts programs in the School for Contemporary Arts. This program is offered at the Vancouver campus.The School for the Contemporary Arts (SCA) at Simon Fraser University (SFU) invites applications for a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair (CRC) in Indigenous Contemporary Arts. This tenure-track position is intended for applicants with an exceptional research record at the Assistant or Associate Professor level (or those who possess the necessary qualifications to be appointed to these levels). The start date of this position is anticipated to be Spring 2025.⁠

Official International High school Transcripts required.Submit a transcript which includes grades for all courses completed and final grades for the first semester of Senior Year. Graduation from a university-preparatory program at a senior high school. International Baccalaureate IB Diploma is required. You must successfully complete the full IB Diploma, including at least 3 HL courses
