What will I learn?

Cultural Studies takes a close look at popular and everyday culture. Cultural Studies analyzes art and literature, science and technology, media and popular texts in relation to the meaning of everyday life and how they helped shape history.This program must be completed in combination with another Bachelor of Arts program. You can easily pair your studies with Communication Studies, English, Film Studies, Global Studies or Women and Gender Studies, among others.Learning OutcomesYou'll think critically about all aspects of culture as they relate to larger issues in society, including class, gender, sexuality, race and power.You'll develop critical insights into the world we live in by examining how humans live and engage in culture around them.Cultural competency is a skill employers look for. You'll gain the ability to effectively and critically engage with contemporary issues and clearly communicate your understandings to others. This will prepare you for diverse careers requiring you to implement solutions for contemporary challenges.

  • Competitive admission range of low 80s.
