Italy has made significant contributions to the evolution of the arts, sciences and ideas for the greater part of the last 700 years. Knowledge of Italian is a valuable skill that alone or coupled with another area of study can open the doors to diverse career opportunities.Students in the Italian program will learn to master the Italian language and develop an in-depth understanding of Italian culture and society.Many university students begin their studies with a Bachelor of Arts degree. A solid foundation in liberal arts can provide you with the practical skills for a particular job or may prepare you to move on to a graduate or professional school.Many see earning a BA as the best way to position themselves for todays global economy. Indeed, the analytical, creative, communication and problem-solving skills that come with the multidisciplinary approach of an arts degree can prepare you for a future rich with opportunities.

Meeting these requirements does not guarantee acceptance into the program.Direct entry applicants are those who have not attended a post-secondary institution or have completed fewer than 24 credit hours at a recognized university or college.Advanced entry applicants are those who have completed one year (24 credit hours) or more of studies in another faculty at the University of Manitoba or another recognized post-secondary institution.
