What will I learn?

The School of Child and Youth Care offers a program of academic study and fieldwork practice leading to a Bachelor in Child and Youth Care (BCYC) degree through a combination of on campus and distance learning options. Child and youth care practitioners attend to the social, physical, cultural, spiritual and emotional needs of children, youth and families. They work directly in a wide variety of practice settings. Entry requirements

For international students

completion of four years of full-time academic studies in which all language of instruction is English, at a high school or post-secondary institution in a recognized English-speaking countryHigh school diploma or equivalent (academic stream) with high-level results / minimum GPA 3.0 or equivalentcompletion of Grade 12 English or its equivalent in Canada with a final grade of 86% or higher within the last three years prior to admissiona score of 86% or higher on the BC Provincial Grade 12 English Examination within the last three years prior to admissiona score of 4 or higher on the Advanced Placement Exam in English Language and Compositiona score of 4 or higher on IB Higher Level English A
