What will I learn?

Broadcasters are known for their strong communication abilities and expertise in digital storytelling for television, radio, and social media and online. Develop your technical skills and theoretical understanding to produce professional and engaging audio and video content for a variety of audiences. Take advantage of state-of-the-art video production facilities and an online radio station while learning to write and produce commercials, news, documentaries, podcasts, advertising, film, corporate video and reality television.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

High School Applicant: must present a minimum admission average of 65%, calculated on the five appropriate Grade 12 courses. TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): 86 (min. 20 in each of four sections); IELTS (International English Language Test — Academic): 6.5 (min. 5.5 on each band).

For international students

High School Applicant: must present a minimum admission average of 65%, calculated on the five appropriate Grade 12 courses.

Applicants in all admission categories must present:

  • English Language Arts 30-1 - minimum grade 60%
  • Social Studies 30-1 or Aboriginal Studies minimum grade 3050%

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): 86 (min. 20 in each of four sections)

IELTS (International English Language Test — Academic): 6.5 (min. 5.5 on each band)

CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language Assessment): 70 (min. 60 in each band)

MET (Michigan English Test) (formerly Michigan English Language Assessment Battery MELAB): 62 (min. 53 in all four skills)

PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English Academic): 58 (min. 55 in each area)

Cambridge English B2 First, C1 Advanced, or C2 Proficiency: 176
