Under the guidance of experienced faculty who are all practicing artists, you will experience foundational artistic principles, drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, art history and professional practices. We offer state-of-the-art studio spaces fully equipped for ceramics, sculpture, painting, drawing and design. A broad range of visual experiences will help you form a visual arts vocabulary and master skills in composition and technical areas. Emphasis will be on creative growth, visual maturity in studio work across a broad range of required and optional areas. Throughout your time at RDP you will have the opportunity to take transferable coursework and develop a robust portfolio to successfully transfer to a university and complete your degree. Transfer into programs besides the Bachelor of Fine Arts is also possible, both at RDP and at other institutions.
