What will I learn?

The Agribusiness program gives students a strong understanding of the economics of agriculture, from finance to trade to human resources. Students will learn about the world of marketing and distribution of food and agri-products.Agribusiness is the business and economics of food. It focuses on all of the factors that influence how food travels around the globe, including finance, government policy, international trade, risk management, the environment, food safety, and regional development. The Bachelor of Science (Agribusiness) degree gives students a thorough understanding of Canada's food supply chain, from producer to consumer. Students learn how to market and distribute food products to customers within the community and around the world. The University of Manitoba's Agribusiness program is a well-recognized agribusiness program in Canada. Entry requirements

For international students

Direct Entry applicants are those who have not attended a post-secondary institution or have completed fewer than 24 credit hours at a recognized university or college. Direct entry applicants require the followingManitoba high school graduation including 5 full credits at the Grade 12 level in courses designated S, G, or UA minimum average of 70 per cent over the following courses, with no less than 60 per cent in each courseEnglish 40SApplied Mathematics 40S or Pre-Calculus Mathematics 40STwo academic 40S coursesAdvanced Entry is for applicants who have completed one year (24 credit hours) or more of studies in another faculty at the University of Manitoba or another recognized post-secondary institution.
