What will I learn?

Biomedical science is a growing interdisciplinary field which supports the creation, revision and implementation of innovative methods to advance medicine and human health. Biomedical scientists integrate knowledge from numerous fields of study such as biology, chemistry, anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology, and paraclinical sciences. Through interprofessional collaboration, they use these skills to support the prevention, treatment and diagnosis for various disorders and diseases, in addition to analyzing current and potential laboratory and computational analysis tools. The Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences program provides students with cutting-edge education, knowledge, skills and hands-on experience through classroom and laboratory-based learning that is underscored by a summer field experience.This program develops career-ready graduates who contribute to the development of new therapies and approaches to enhance human health and wellness. Graduates may also choose to pursue higher and specialized education through masters and doctoral degrees, as well as medical school, dentistry, pharmacy and many others.
