What will I learn?

We’ll prepare you for a career in Information Technology (IT), an industry that is transforming our world and workplaces. You’ll study data structures, operating systems, database systems, industry-standard programming languages, software engineering and user interfaces.

You can take specialized courses in object-orientation, computer graphics, intelligent systems, computer networks, advanced Internet, neural networks, computer music (digital music), parallel computing and compiler construction.

The honours program offers two concentrations:

Software Engineering focuses on programming and systems analysis for application development.

Intelligent Systems focuses on making computers solve problems that normally require human intelligence to solve.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Graduates of a two year Early Childhood Education Diploma program (or equivalent) with a cumulative 75% average are eligible to apply for entry into the limited enrolment Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (Honours) degree online program.

For international students

Applicants must have Secondary school diploma, Grade 12 courses at the number and level specified for your province, A minimum average of 70%.

English proficiency requirements

IELTS - overall 6.5, no band below 6.0

TOEFL - overall 88, no band below 21

CAEL - overall 70, no band below 60

PTE - 58

IELP Level 5 - Successful completion of Level 5 of the Brock Intensive English Language program
