What will I learn?

The Chemical Engineering program at the University of New Brunswick's Saint John campus provides students with a strong foundation in chemistry, physics, mathematics, and chemical engineering principles. The program focuses on how raw materials can be transformed into useful products and services, while developing knowledge of process equipment, material and energy balances, thermodynamics, materials science, chemical processes, and industrial operations. Students also gain practical experience through laboratory work and process design, with applications across industries such as petroleum, plastics, pharmaceuticals, food processing, pulp and paper, energy, and environmental technology. The Saint John program covers the first two years of the Bachelor of Science in Engineering and can lead to a Diploma in Engineering Foundations before students continue their degree studies.
