Acadia University’s School of Nutrition and Dietetics is home to innovative and skilled faculty who are experts in food, nutrition, and dietetics. They will help you develop the knowledge and skills you’ll need for a career in this increasingly important field.You will acquire an understanding of food, including food science and food product development. You will develop an appreciation of current issues in nutrition and dietetics. You will gain solid knowledge in science, social studies, and professional skills that will prepare you to apply your knowledge in your future career. You will take courses in areas such as the following:sustainable food systems and global nutritionsport nutrition and professional practicechemistry and biologycommunications and statisticsfood product developmentnutrition assessment and educationThis background will prepare you to work effectively in a variety of settings such as the food industry and entrepreneurship, health care, education, media and communications, and government and policy development.

Entry requirements

For international students

Official transcripts from all educational institutions attended. IB Diploma including IB English with an overall score of 24 or better.If you are admitted to Acadia University with a score of 30 or higher on the IB Diploma, you will receive 30 hours of university credit. Transcripts should be certified by the school and prepared in a sealed envelope by the school. Official language test results
