What will I learn?

These multidisciplinary programs, unique in Ontario, will enable you to learn about different aspects of the francophonie (cultural, legal, linguistic, social, educative, political) throughout the world, in French, from leading Canadian researchers on the topic. The minor is for students who are looking for a program in tune with current reality and issues involving francophone communities in Ontario, Quebec, across the country and abroad. The certificate is for people such as recent secondary schools or college graduates or, experienced volunteers, community workers or civil servants wishing to add to their knowledge of the francophonie. To facilitate access to the program, some courses are offered in late afternoon or in the evening

Entry requirements

For international students

You must have an Ontario high school diploma with at least six 4U-4M or DU-level courses to be eligible for admission to the first year of university. Please note:All the courses that are prerequisites for your chosen program must be 4U-level courses, unless otherwise indicated.We use your top six interim or final grades in 4U, 4M, or DU courses, including the prerequisites for your chosen program, to calculate your admission average. We do not round up your grades.International baccalaureate diplomaApplicants enrolled in the International Baccalaureatenorth_eastexternal link Diploma program are eligible for admission if they have completed (or are in the process of completing) the full IB program and meet the following conditions:Have passed six subjects (including the prerequisites for your program of choice) with at least three at the Standard Level and three at the Higher Level.
