Media Studies is an interdisciplinary certificate program at the University of Victoria (UVic). It offers you a credential in media literacy to expand your career options and enrich your studies in any discipline. Our courses focus on experiential learning and the people skills of media, communication and culture. The program is open to all UVic students, and there are no prerequisites to enter it.Careers in Media StudiesMedia Studies expands your career paths by combining research and experiential learning with your own personal and occupational interests. Entry requirements

For international students

completion of four years of full-time academic studies in which all language of instruction is English, at a high school or post-secondary institution in a recognized English-speaking countryHigh school diploma or equivalent (academic stream) with high-level results / minimum GPA 3.0 or equivalentcompletion of Grade 12 English or its equivalent in Canada with a final grade of 86% or higher within the last three years prior to admissiona score of 86% or higher on the BC Provincial Grade 12 English Examination within the last three years prior to admissiona score of 4 or higher on the Advanced Placement Exam in English Language and Compositiona score of 4 or higher on IB Higher Level English A
