What will I learn?

The Child and Youth Care program prepares you to support young people and their families who have experienced social, behavioural, and emotional challenges. During our 2-year diploma program, you’ll develop strong, ethical decision-making skills to prioritize the wellbeing and rights of the young people and families you serve. This program will prepare you for child and youth care worker roles through theory-based courses and a hands-on practicum experience-both of which emphasize the importance of culturally sensitive responses, strength-based communication, and creating relationships that promote trust and empowerment.
