What will I learn?

In Humber’s Electromechanical Engineering Technician diploma program, you’ll learn industry 4.0 concepts in a hands-on, project-based multidisciplinary environment. You will develop skills in industrial automation, robotics, control systems, machining, hydraulics, pneumatics, safety, mechatronics, microcomputer-based automation and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Additionally, you'll explore electrical systems, programming, manufacturing processes and computer-controlled methods. Beyond technical expertise, this program strengthens your communications, problem-solving and interpersonal skills ensuring you are a valuable asset to any team. Coursework reflects real-world demands through independent and co-operative study in practical environments using industrial standard equipment. The program is taught by faculty at the forefront of their field providing you with the knowledge and skills that employers seek.

To be eligible for admission, you must possess the following: Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent including these required courses: Grade 12 English (ENG4C or ENG4U or equivalent) Grade 12 Mathematics (MAP4C, MCT4C, MDM4U, MCB4U, MGA4U, MCV4U or MHF4U or equivalent) Two Grade 11 or Grade 12 C, M or U courses in addition to those listed above or Mature student status or College or university transfer status
