In addition, work-integrated learning opportunities connect you with industry partners through co-op work experiences and industrial, project-based learning. Graduates work as technicians in various fields, including chemical analysis, research, quality assurance, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology.The Cell & Microbiology specialization will give you the necessary skills to pursue exciting job opportunities in Research & Development. The course work builds on the common first year of the program and provides advanced training in the fields of Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Molecular Biology. The final term of the Cell & Microbiology stream will introduce you to the emerging field of genomics and bioinformatics.Graduates from this specialization will find employment as Research Technicians or Associates in a variety of organizations with Research & Development operations.
