What will I learn?

The Graduate Diploma in Public Health (DipPH) is offered by the School of Public Health and Social Policy in the Faculty of Human and Social Development. This graduate diploma program prepares you for similar career roles as our Master of Public Health (MPH) program and follows the same curriculum, with four fewer courses. You will take classes with MPH students and complete a culminating report. There is no thesis option in this program. You'll choose an area of focus in social policy or Indigenous health studies. The DipPH is completed full- time in 20 months (5 academic terms). Part - time study is also possible.

Entry requirements

For international students

  • Completion of an undergraduate degree from an institution recognized by UVic.
  • A minimum B+ (6.0) average (77-79%) in the last two years (30 units) leading to the undergraduate degree.
