The Hairstylist Foundation Program combines the art and science of hairdressing at a foundation level. The program provides students with theoretical knowledge and practical application of technical skills to build proficiency, competency and confidence in all aspects of the hairdressing profession.The program combines classroom instruction and practical application using equipment and tools in The Salon at CMTN and industry workplace settings. Active student learning and participation is emphasized throughout the program to promote the development of knowledge, technical skills and professional behaviour required for success in the industry.The Hairstylist Foundation program meets the training needs of the industry and the required training objectives established by the Industry Training Authority (ITA).
