What will I learn?

This doctoral program provides students with a focused context in which to engage with topics integral to the contested notions of knowledge, values and creativity as reflected in the specific fields of critique and social transformation, culture and aesthetics, technology and digital humanities and way of knowing. The program aims to prepare students for future careers in research and teaching or professions requiring abilities in the disciplined study, critical discernment, and robust application of creative insight.

Entry requirements

For international students

To be admitted to a PhD program, a student should hold either an appropriate masters degree or, students with a bachelors degree already registered in a masters program, may convert to PhD studies in year 2 of some of the masters programs. Students will normally be expected to have attained an 80% average and have achieved significant research progress as determined by their supervisory committee.
