What will I learn?

The FastTrack MBA is designed to allow students with an existing foundation of business knowledge to take their leadership skills to the next level. The Public Sector and Healthcare Management career track is designed for students pursuing a career with the municipal, provincial, or federal government, provincial health bodies, or non-profit organizations. During the first half of the MBA program, you will build your general knowledge base and develop key business skills. In the second half of the program, your focus will shift towards the public sector where you will analyze key issues in public policy development, implementation and management, and will hone your critical thinking abilities related to public health practices.

Entry requirements

For international students

The Alberta School of Business admits exceptional students from a wide range of backgrounds to the MBA program. Applicants who can demonstrate strong leadership qualities, unique backgrounds, work experience and the initiative and motivation to succeed in academic and professional pursuits are prime candidates for the Alberta MBA. The language of instruction at the University of Alberta is English. Applicants who do not hold an undergraduate degree from a recognized institution in which the language of instruction is English are required to provide an official result from a test of (ELP). A list of ELP exempt institutions is available through the Faculty of Graduate Studies. If your institution is not listed on the exemption list, but you did complete your undergraduate degree with English as the medium of instruction, we can consider your application without a test of (you may still be asked to provide one).
