Canada

What will I learn?

This program is offered through the Ottawa-Carleton Institute for Biomedical Engineering (OCIBME), a multi-disciplinary joint institute with the University of Ottawa. The main objective is to enhance students’ abilities to solve problems in medicine and biology through the application of engineering principles using a combination of graduate coursework, directed and individual study, thesis research work and various forms of oral and written presentations.

The Master of Engineering (MEng) is a course-based program designed to support professional development through skill-building in advanced engineering topics. As a coursework-focused degree, the MEng does not require a research thesis and is therefore well-suited to students pursuing careers in industry, government or professional practice. Students may also choose to complement their coursework with a research project or directed study, deepening expertise in a specialized technical area of interest.
